Occasionally the late Paul Harvey would recite a news item or story about stark cultural differences. Then he’d say, “It’s not one world.”
We hear a lot these days about a new world order. Many Bible teachers think one world government is on its way. After all, technology ties us together like never before.
Those in power have sought to consolidate power for quite some time. It looks like they’re doing a pretty good job. The stage is being set up for AntiChrist.
Or is it? What’s really going on? Have you paid attention to the news lately? Really?
Who really knows what’s going on with our economy or economies around the world? If they know the truth, they’re not telling. And the debate about a potential one world currency goes on.
Then there’s Israel and the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East.
The AntiChrist will bring peace. Doesn’t there have to be conflict that can’t be resolved by anybody else before he can do that?
It’s chaos, not consolidation that sets the stage for end time events.
Oh, sure, AntiChrist will achieve peace and a great deal of unity for a while. But it won’t last for more than three and a half years during the Tribulation period.
Meanwhile, why do we assume plans and desire for one world government equal accomplishment? The dream of a one world government held by some doesn’t line up with Nebuchadnezzar’s God given dream in Daniel 2.
Who will set up the ultimate kingdom? Don’t be too sure it’s AntiChrist.
Daniel 2:44-45 says this.
44. And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
45. Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the
mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
