Two Ministries to the Blind–A Personal Update

I oversee two ministries to the blind, and this post is a long overdue introduction to those works.

The Circle of Love is a monthly, conservative Christian audio magazine which I’ve produced since January 2022. It was started back in 1979 and was produced by two blind pastors before me. George Gray of Cleveland, TX, is my predecessor in this work.

Desktop Braille Publishing translates into Braille the adult Sunday school material from Bogard Press of the American Baptist Association. Marvin Prevost of Fresno, CA, founded this ministry over 20 years ago, and I officially took over as editor in December 2023.

I post reports for these ministries on the missions page for Northwood Baptist Church.

To get a more complete explanation, I encourage you to listen to the audio file linked below.

On Sunday evening, June 9, 2024, I had the privilege of presenting these works at our church–Northwood Baptist Church, Columbia, MO. The audio isn’t as good as other messages I’ve shared here because it was recorded in the church fellowship hall a few feet from the P.A. system.

I began by describing how my testimony of involvement with ministry to the blind somewhat parallels the experience of Moses when he got ahead of God. It’s astonishing to see how God uses our past failures and mistakes and turns them around for His glory.
