One of my favorite characters in the Bible is the man born blind who Jesus healed in John 9. But there’s much more to this account than someone being healed.
The bllind man showed he had character. He obeyed Jesus’ instructions, and he was healed. He stood up to the Pharisees. And he gladly believed on Christ.
On Sunday morning, June 4, 2023, I had the privilege of delivering a message I called “How a Blind Man Shows Us the Way” at our church–Northwood Baptist Church, Columbia, MO.
I explained the blind man’s responses to Jesus, his neighbors, the religious leaders, and again to Jesus. John 9 deals with the healing of physical blindness and gaining physical sight. But even more importantly, we discover how to have spiritual sight.
