Manufactured Consensus

Does it seem like most people are on the same page? And it’s the wrong one?

Pardon a few mixed metaphors below. The important thing is that you understand the need of not falling for the manufactured consensus pertaining to the issues of our day.

If you’re already swimming upstream, don’t give up. Take a breath and glean some needed perspective.

It gets old being the odd duck, doesn’t it?

Who of us likes to color outside the lines? And who of us is OK with doing that as a way of thinking and functioning?

Can we maintain personal sanity in a world that’s gone insane?

How did we get so messed up in the first place?

Reasons vary and are numerous. But it’s hard to top one explanation in an article called The Operation Called “Manufactured Consensus”. So I won’t try. It’s a few years old, but it’s as relevant today as ever.

The challenge you and I face is to steer clear of the downward path everyone else seems to be on.

Years ago I had a poster that pictured an onion sitting on top of a basket full of oranges. How about if you and I agree to keep being onions on top of our respective piles of oranges?
