Justification and God’s Grace

Justification is one of those big words in the Christian vocabulary that stumps a lot of people. You may have heard it said that to be justified means God sees me just if I’d never sinned.

Justification takes place when we put our faith in what Christ has done for us at Calvary. It simply means God declares someone to be righteous.

But God does not make a person perfectly righteous. The challenge for us is to draw closer to the Lord and become more righteous in our daily, practical walk with Him so we can live up to the position of righteousness we have in Christ before God.

On Sunday evening, December 26, 2021, I had the privilege of delivering a message on justification and God’s grace from Romans 4 at our church–Northwood Baptist Church, Columbia, MO.

I endeavored to simplify the concepts of justification by faith and God’s grace vs. living by works or keeping a Christian code of some kind.
