The life of Peter is the preeminent example of God’s incomprehensible mercy and grace. The apostle went from denying he knew Jesus to being a key figure in the New Testament church in Jerusalem.
On Sunday morning, April 16, 2023, I had the privilege of delivering a message I called “The Fisherman Becomes a Shepherd” at our church–Northwood Baptist Church, Columbia, MO.
My text was John 21:1-22. The main points were as follows.
- The Fisherman Returned to the Comfortable.
- The Fisherman Rejoiced to See Christ.
- The Fisherman Relaxed with His Companions.
- The Fisherman Received a Commission.
- The Fisherman is Rebuked by Christ.
- The Shepherd Reached Converts.
